100Thieves pull out of CS:GO

100Thieves, owned by Nadeshot, have officially pulled out of the Counter Strike scene. Nadeshot cited travel, focus on european tournaments, and COVID-19 as main reasons behind the move, according to his twitter video. This means that the roster, consisting of jks, jkaem, azr, liazz, and gratisfaction are free to explore other offers. Recently, rumors were circulating that Complexity were looking to enlist 100Thieves star jks to fill their ranks.

100Thieves first tried to enter the Coutner Striek scene in early 2017, signing a mainly brazilian roster with kngv. However, problems arose and the roster was cast aside after not even one official match. However, in October of 2019, 100Thieves, once again, ventured into Counter Strike, signing the Renegades roster. Since then, 10Thieves has failed to find success. Their peak was top 5 on the hltv rankings, and a grand final appearance at IEM Beijing 2019, where they lost to Astralis.

NA CS cannot seem to catch a break. There was already a limited number of tier1 teams in North America, and now one of those teams just got cut off. However, the main core of 100Thieves might still find a home yet. With rumors of roster moves in FaZe and G2, the players of 100Thieves should have no trouble finding a new home.
