Mousesports have added Christopher "dexter" Nong to the roster, confirming a January report by HLTV.org and 1pv.fr of the team's interest in the Australian. The in-game leader joins the team on a transfer from Renegades, and will replace Karrigan as the IGL. Effective immediately, Karrigan will be on the team's bench, and dexter will make his debut at the IEM Katowice Play Ins.
Now that Mousesports confirmed what everyone theorized to be true, I believe it is inevitable that Karrigan will make his return to FaZe Clan, hopefully before the start of IEM Katowice. Dexter has spent most of his time in tier-2 CS with Renegades, so it will be something to see how he is able to adapt to a more competitive level. One thing that took me off guard was how fast Mousesports took to implement Dexter into the roster. Coldzera from FaZe said that the team would announce their IGL sometime in March, so everyone assumed Karrigan would still be a part of Mousesports for IEM Katowice, which would be his last run with the team. However, that clearly wasn't the case, and Karrigan sees himself on the bench. It might be a stretch, but maybe Karrigan will also be loaned out, just like ChrisJ was to FunPlusPhoenix.
