In their first official matchup since signing Twistzz, FaZe Clan managed to best Twistzz's former team Liquid, in a convincing 2-0, on Dust2 and Nuke. The atmosphere was high in the FaZe camp, as we can see from Mic'ed-up clips posted on Blast Premier's twitter. FaZe clan took Dust2 16-11, but blew out Team Liquid on Nuke with a flawless 16 round wins in a row after losing the CT pistol.
In the Post-game interview, Olof also stated that it might not be the end of the role for him just yet. The veteran said that he has not 100% made up his mind yet, and hinted that fans may see him in the server later on. I would love to see Olof stay, hopefully in FaZe Clan as maybe the team's 6th player. However, it is more plausible that he might choose to leave and pursue new projects. Olof praised Coldzera's leadership in letting the team play roles that everyone is comfortable with, citing it as a reason why his stats have improved for the time being.
Coldzera mentioned to Freya that the team was also polishing antistrats that their new IGL offered them, so that is something interesting. Overall, from the team comms and the facial expressions from the game, it seems like FaZe are playing with little pressure and really enjoying themselves. Furthermore, Twistzz is fitting in nicely, and with Coldzera's vision on what he expects the team to be like in the future, I think FaZe Clan can compete for titles once again. However, it is just their debut, so I look forward to their next match against NaVi tomorrow.
