FaZe sweep OG 3-0 to win ESL One New York 2020

FaZe Clan beat OG Esports in 3 maps: Mirage, Inferno, and Dust2, to take home the championship. It was a team effort across the board, with all FaZe players averaging above a 1.00 rating, with Coldzera's 1.05 rating as the lowest. Mirage was a close affair, with FaZe ultimately winning it out in double overtime 22-20. Inferno was a completely different situation. FaZe came out red hot, cruising to a 12-3 lead by halftime which was sparked by a 3rd round forcebuy victory. Dust2, the last map, was hard fought at the beginning, with a narrow 8-7 lead to OG at halftime. However, once FaZe switched to the CT side, things changed drastically, with a 1v1 clutch by none other than the leader of FaZe Clan, NiKo, to solidify their win.

This is a great win for FaZe Clan, a team that has not seen a lot of success since their last Championship at Blast Pro Series. Kjaerbye did not seem like a weak link at all throughout the series, having huge impact and even single handedly won FaZe the first map with a 4k on the b-site. I'm excited to see what this team has to bring foward, with their dominant performance today.
