There are rumors that igl Karrigan might be on his way back to his former team FaZe Clan, after his contract with Mousesports is set to expire next March. The report states that Karrigan is also interested in bringing a teammate back with him, opening the possibility of another bench in the FaZe Roster. However, FaZe can also start a 6-man roster, just like Vitality. Karrigan was a Coldzera plea, with the current igl asking FaZe Management for Karrigan. Coldzera believes Karrigan has the necessary traits to lead the FaZe Roster, and hopes to acquire him.
It is likely that FaZe will not wait until Karrigan's contract to expire, and will instead be aggressive and try to buy him out from Mousesports. The pitch started back when rumors around NiKo leaving for G2 were just blossoming.
Karrigan coming back to FaZe Clan will definitely be an improvement tactically, but no so much when it comes to firepower. If Karrigan brings a teammate, I hope it is ropz. Ropz has been very consistent the last few months, and is also a rising star. Frozen is still relatively new and unexperienced in my opinion, whereas Bymas is too new to the professional scene. They can have a good day, but it can drastically change the next day. In my opinion, they are too inconsistent and volatile.
As much as Kjaerbye has been helping FaZe out, he is still a burden. He plays all the best roles now that NiKo left, but he is definitely a liability due to his signature "shake-spray". I have personally seen rounds where Kjaerbye singlehandedly has cost FaZe the round. I would much rather have ropz, a consistent fragger in my ranks. However, I would also be fine keeping Kjaerbye as a 6th man, in case anyone needs to take a leave due to burnout.
Honestly, I believe Karrigan will consider this opportunity. ChrisJ is literally so bad at the game. He has one good game out of 25 games, and is worse than Kjaerbye, in my opinion. ChrisJ should honestly just retire, or be a coach. Karrigan would be reunited with a longtime friend in Rain, and I agree that most likely, Karrigan would be able to reignite the fire in Rain.
