Olofmeister set to Retire? Out of FaZe Clan?

Today, FaZe NiKo said on stream that he has not been in contact with Olofmeister recently, and that Olof doesn't have a clear plan for his future. NiKo then dropped a bombshell and claimed if Olofmeister was to return, it won't be on FaZe. Olof "Olofmeister"Kajbjer has been on FaZe's lineup since August of 2017. Throughout his time with FaZe, Olof took one prolonged break at the beginning of April 2018 for personal reasons. More recently, Olof stepped down from the active roster during May, when the coronavirus forced all tournaments to be online.

I think if Olof was to retire or leave FaZe Clan, it wouldn't be as bad as some might imagine. Olof was a veteran of Counter-Strike, and his feedback and experience would be welcome anywhere. However, FaZe have seen some stability recently, looking better with new addition Kjaerbye. Just today, FaZe beat Vitality in the semi-finals of ESL One New York 2020, setting themselves up for a grand-final rematch against OG Esports tomorrow. Kjaerbye is looking more comfortable in his new roles, and his stats bolster this. He was the leading player in today's match against Vitality, averaging a 1.30 rating across 2 maps. If FaZe can continue their good form, Olof's leave might not be as detrimental to FaZe's success as previous spectators expected.
